Are you ready to take the next step in your finance career while making a real difference to people’s lives?

At Path, we work alongside people facing homelessness to support them to secure and sustain accommodation and rebuild their futures. Our Finance team plays a vital role in ensuring the organisation runs smoothly and sustainably.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Assistant or Accountants Assistant who’s ready to broaden their skills within a small, supportive and hands‑on finance team.

Working closely with our Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the finance function. This is a varied role where you’ll get involved in:

  • Reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records

  • Supporting month‑end processes

  • Helping to ensure strong financial controls

  • Pitching in with transactional processing when needed to keep everything moving

If you enjoy variety, like taking ownership of your work and want to develop your experience across a wider range of accounting activities, this role offers a great opportunity to grow.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a finance role (e.g. Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant)

  • Has demonstrable experience beyond purely transactional processing, with exposure to broader finance or accounting tasks

  • Holds AAT Level 3 or has demonstrable practical financial experience

You’ll also be:

  • Organised, methodical and detail‑focused

  • A strong team player who’s happy to get stuck in

Why join Path?

  • Be part of an organisation with a clear social purpose and strong values

  • Work within a supportive, collaborative team

  • Gain broader exposure to finance within a meaningful and complex service environment

  • Know that your work directly contributes to improving lives in the local community

Benefits include:

  • Generous holiday allowance

  • Flexible working

  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme

  • Enhanced sick and maternity pay

  • Blue Light Card discounts

  • Ongoing learning and development

  • Cycle to work scheme
