A coastal town with a harbor, a pier, parked cars, and people walking along a street. There are colorful buildings and a grassy hillside with walkways. The water is calm with a few boats, and hills can be seen in the background.

Refugee Programme

We offer housing and integration support to refugees, helping them rebuild their lives in Plymouth.

About the Programme

Starting a new life in a new country is never easy. At Path, we understand how overwhelming it can feel — and we’re here to help every step of the way.

Through the Plymouth Resettlement Support Service, we support people with refugee status to settle into life in the city. Whether someone has just received leave to remain or is looking for help to stay secure in their home, we walk alongside them as they find stability, build confidence, and begin to thrive.

We are a partnership between five trusted local organisations, each with a long history of supporting refugees in Plymouth. Together, we offer wraparound support that includes housing advice, benefits support, English language lessons, job skills, health access, and community connection.

What Path provides

At Path, we focus on housing and tenancy support. We:

  • Assist with moving in and settling safely

  • Offer guidance on housing rights and benefit entitlements

  • Develop individual support plans based on each person’s needs

  • Support those that are hosting Ukrainian guests through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.

We also link people with the other services in the partnership, so they receive tailored, joined-up support that meets them where they are.
