Temporary Single Accommodation

We provide short-term accommodation for individuals with dedicated workers helping people move on to settled homes.

About the Programme

At Path, we understand how hard it can be to find stable housing when life feels uncertain. Our Resettlement Team offers a compassionate, short-term access to housing for single adults experiencing homelessness in Plymouth. Designed to be a stepping stone, this service gives people the chance to regroup, find stability, and look ahead with hope. With dedicated support and practical help, residents typically stay for 3–6 months as they prepare to move on to a more permanent home.

Who is the service for?

  • Single adults experiencing homelessness

  • People with a local connection to Plymouth

  • Individuals with low to medium support needs

  • Those ready and willing to live in shared accommodation

How does it work?

We offer safe and welcoming shared homes—currently over 18 properties, including 2 houses just for women. Each resident signs a license agreement and pays a small weekly service charge to help cover utilities like gas, electricity and Wi-Fi. Our team visits regularly to check in, carry out house checks, and ensure everyone feels safe and supported. While we don’t provide 24-hour staffing, we do offer Out of Hours maintenance support when it’s needed most.

Support and Moving On

We’re here to walk alongside each person on their journey. That means tailored support—whether it’s help applying for benefits, building confidence to manage a tenancy, or connecting with other services for health or wellbeing. We support people to move forward, whether that’s into private rentals, social housing, or more specialist accommodation when needed. Because everyone deserves the chance to thrive in a place they can call home.

Starter Packs

For those arriving with nothing, we offer essential starter packs—everything from bedding and crockery to hygiene basics.

These simple items make a big difference, especially for people who have fled domestic violence, left care, or lost everything. It’s our way of saying: you matter, and we’re here to help you start again.
