What we need from you
We're Looking for Volunteers with Skills In:
· Garden design
· Practical outdoor projects
· Building raised beds, planters and simple outdoor furniture using reclaimed pallets and materials
· Knowledge of plants and horticulture
You do not need to be a professional gardener, but experience or confidence in one or more of these areas would be particularly valuable.
The focus is on working with residents, creating opportunities for conversation, skill-sharing and social connection while completing practical tasks.
We will be running afternoon sessions across two weeks this summer (one week in each house).
We ask volunteers to commit to at least two sessions during a project week so that residents can build meaningful connections and continuity with those involved.
Volunteer Support
· Path staff will be present throughout all sessions.
· Volunteers will receive a briefing before getting involved.
· Appropriate safeguarding and risk management arrangements will be in place.
To express an interest, please click the button below to fill out the form. The project dates will be set depending on the interest we receive and the availability of the volunteers who come forward.
Green Path Project
Could you help transform outdoor spaces into places of recovery, connection and hope?
Path is looking for skilled and enthusiastic volunteers to help us create wellbeing gardens at two of our Rough Sleeping houses. These homes support people with long histories of rough sleeping who are now rebuilding their lives in safe, supported accommodation.
We have secured initial funding to make a start and are planning two dedicated garden transformation weeks this summer. Working alongside residents and Path staff, volunteers will help design and create welcoming, low-maintenance gardens that encourage wellbeing, social connection and pride in place.
