Path’s 30th Anniversary Gala Raises £15,000 to Support People Facing Homelessness

Local charity, Path’s 30th Anniversary Gala, “90s Rewind,” brought together over 200 guests from across Plymouth for an unforgettable evening of celebration, generosity, and impact- raising nearly £15,000 to support people experiencing homelessness and hardship in the city.

Held at the Crowne Plaza, Plymouth on Friday 17th October, the event welcomed a vibrant mix of attendees, including Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Kathy Watkin and High Sheriff of Devon, Caroline Harlow, alongside local business leaders, members of Plymouth City Council, and long-standing supporters of the charity. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, explored nostalgic 90s memorabilia, and took part in a lively raffle and auction that brought the “Rhythm of the Night” to life.

The gala was designed not only to mark Path’s 30-year milestone but also to raise awareness of its vital work and celebrate the charity’s recent rebrand, announced earlier this year. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Path’s mission and the launch of its Winter Appeal, which aims to provide urgent support to those most vulnerable during the colder months.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us,” said Victoria Allen, CEO at Path. “The warmth and generosity in the room was overwhelming, and the funds raised will make a real difference to people in our community.”

Darren, who was supported by Path during a difficult period, shared: “Path gave me somewhere to live—and from there, I’ve managed to get myself off the alcohol and the drugs. It gave me a base and connection. It got me back on my feet. Now I feel safe.”

Path’s Winter Appeal is now underway, and the organisation welcomes further support from individuals and businesses who want to get involved. “If you’d like to contribute or partner with us, we’d love to hear from you,” added Victoria.

Path is a Plymouth-based charity dedicated to supporting people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Through housing support, outreach, and advocacy, Path works to create pathways out of hardship and into stability and hope.
