Support for Winter Appeal

Local Businesses Pledge Support to Path’s Winter Appeal through the Big Give

Path is proud to announce the support of respected local businesses and community leaders for its Big Give Winter Appeal, Hope Begins with a Home. Together, they have pledged a combined total of £2,500, providing a vital foundation for this year’s fundraising drive.

Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, along with local businesses Ashgrove Kitchens, MR Mortgages, Paul Dollins Accountants, and Councillor Chris Penworthy, have all come forward to pledge their support. Their generosity will be matched pound-for-pound through the Big Give campaign, meaning the £2,500 already pledged will be doubled by national funders. This crucial boost will help Path provide safe shelter, essential items, and dedicated support for individuals and families facing homelessness this winter.

Since 1995, Path has worked to prevent and end homelessness in Plymouth. Every day, its dedicated team supports people on the streets, provides expert housing advice, and delivers specialist programmes for those in crisis. This winter, as the housing emergency deepens, the appeal will allow Path to strengthen its capacity and respond quickly and compassionately to those who need it most.

Victoria Allen, CEO at Path, said, “We are deeply grateful to our local pledgers for their commitment and generosity. Their support demonstrates the power of our community in action and will enable us to reach more people when it matters most.”

Richard Allan, CEO, Cattewater Harbour who pledged commented  "The work that Path does is invaluable in tackling homelessness in Plymouth. Our pledge, along with many others. enables the team to keep supporting those in need in the community as part of their Winter Appeal."

The Big Give campaign officially launches in December 2025, giving the public the opportunity to donate and see their contributions doubled. With this early support secured, Path is preparing for its most ambitious Winter Appeal yet — and looks forward to rallying the city behind the campaign.
