Bec & Freya's Double Head Shave & Dip
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August and had a mastectomy 5 weeks ago. The next step is chemotherapy.
I didn't imagine that on my 40th birthday I'd have Cancer and we'd be in the middle of a global pandemic.
So after thinking long and hard about how to celebrate, I hatched a plan!
On my 40th birthday, Wednesday 2nd Dec at 7.45pm me and my crazy friend Freya, will be shaving our heads and running into the cold Atlantic sea LIVE ON FACEBOOK. I don't think Freya was counting on the sea part when she offered to shave her head to support me 🤣🤣
We're raising money for Path (Plymouth Access to Housing), where I've worked for 12 years. I really want to support them whilst I’m not able to be there; so hopefully in this way I can. Any money raised will go into our hardship fund which goes directly to help the vulnerable homeless people we work with.
We will donate our hair to 'The Little Princess Trust' who provide real hair wigs for children with hair loss.
If we succeed in reaching our goal, I will start chemotherapy next week with a smile on my face knowing something good has come of this scary time. So...
PLEASE WATCH, SHARE THE LOVE, CHEER US ON AND DONATE!!!!!
Thanks in advance to our chief hair dresser, 'Hair by Christopher' and camera lady, Heather.

Funding for Winter
It’s never a good time for someone to sleep rough; but in very cold or severe weather it is particularly unsafe. We work with partners to get people indoors, somewhere safe and warm; but also to prevent people reaching the street.
We’re often asked about the pros and cons of giving to people begging. Like many homelessness organisations, we believe that it is best to give via relevant charities, which know the people, know what is available and can use donations to help people in the most positive way.
At Path, we have a Hardship Fund that we use to help people with small payments, such as emergency help buying food or paying for electricity; but we also provide people with bedding and tenancy packs as we help them move into accommodation.
Anyone wishing to donate towards that fund can donate here: Path Hardship Fund
